Grand Palace

A must-see for anyone who visits Bangkok, Grand Palace is a dazzling city landmark that was built in 1782 as the home of the Thai king. And so it remained for 150 years - serving as the Royal court, as well as the seat of government, the base for the Thai war ministry and even the mint. With its mix of bars, restaurants, food stalls and shops, Soi Rambuttri makes for a pleasant diversion from frenetic Chinatown and Bangkok's busy malls. This horseshoe-shaped road features Bombay Blues where you can make yourself comfortable on one of the many large pillows and enjoy some Indian cuisine in super-chilled surroundings.
