Information about flights to Bratislava
Still home to a beautiful Old Town, Bratislava, is the lively capital and economic heart of Slovakia. This city, which is adjacent to the Hungarian border, has been under numerous empires over the centuries, and is part of the fertile valley of the Danube, Europe's second longest river.
Bratislava Castle
An enormous fortress, Bratislava Castle is the focal point of the Slovakian capital and has stood since the 9th century. The building has been altered several times over the past 1,100 years, and provides astounding views of the skyline and the scenic Danube Valley.
The Blue Church
Officially named the Church of St. Elisabeth, the Blue Church was 100 years old in 2008 and is a fine example of Art Nouveau architecture. In fact, the main tower of this building almost resembles a large pastel, and features a beautifully decorated barrel vault.
DevÃn Castle
Another sight you won't want to miss, DevÃn Castle was also established in the 9th century and, like the aforementioned castle, it was redesigned in subsequent centuries. Unfortunately, it was devastated during the Napoleonic Wars in the early 19th century, and is still in ruins, although it is nevertheless a spectacular sight on the outskirts of the city.

In the attractive Old Town, the Bratislava City Museum tells the story of how Bratislava was founded in 1868 and developed into a major city. This museum also operates several other exhibition venues in Bratislava, such as the Museum of Arms, the Museum of the City History and the Museum of Clocks.
