City attractions
Singapore has a really impressive array of wildlife and natural beauty. If you find yourself in the city be sure to visit the heavily forested Singapore Zoo. Although it isn't too close to the city centre it's well worth a visit. These primate specialists will let you interact with their animals, and you'll have plenty to choose from. For a truly magical experience book breakfast with the orangutans and see these majestic creatures start their day.
If you'd rather see the wildlife in a slightly different way then try a night safari. This is the world's first nocturnal zoo and it comes with extremely high recommendations. You'll travel through the exotic Singapore outdoors on a tram that has the feel of a safari jeep. Here you'll see animals in what feels like their natural habitat. A night-time safari is a great way to spend an evening and will give you plenty of stories to tell your friends when you get home.
More centrally you can visit the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum. This Buddhist temple combined with museum is perfect for learning more about the Buddhist faith inside some traditional Singapore architecture. Once you start to get a taste for the history of the city you'll soon find yourself at the National Museum of Singapore where you can find out everything you could possibly want to know. Of course if you feel more like sticking in the present day and taking in the sights, a Singapore River Cruise will show you the lay of the land.
In the evening
In the world's largest city you won't find it hard to hit the town in the evenings. Waku Ghin is renowned as one of the most impressive restaurants in the world, and here you'll be able to grab well decorated delicious food in the form of a 10-course meal. The food will cost you, though, and if you're planning on eating here you'd better budget for it. Of course there are plenty of other places to eat, like Ristorante Amarone where you can choose from fresh shell fish like lobster. The combination of Italian food with an Asian twist makes for an interesting experience.
For a gorgeous rooftop bar after your dinner, you could do much worse than Loof. The cocktails here are super stylish and the views are very impressive too. For something a little more grounded try Kinki. Here people come straight out of their offices to drink out in the surrounding city streets. All around the bar are neon city lights and a punk/hip hop style décor.
