Ibiza is an island of two halves. Despite its reputation as the Mediterranean’s premier destination for clubbing and all-night partying, Ibiza is also the perfect place to indulge in a spot of fitness, wellbeing and relaxation. It might be a less-publicised feature of the White Island, but plenty of people still flock here to enhance their karma at one of the island’s many yoga retreats.

Some of Ibiza’s most serene, yoga studios and retreats are comfortably insulated from the clubs and bars of Ibiza Town or Sant Antoni. Here are a few of the best.
With its warm weather and glorious golden beaches, Ibiza is a no-brainer for anyone looking to for a little me-time. Fortunately, there’s no shortage of great retreats which make the most of Ibiza’s beautiful beaches. As its name might suggest, Beachouse Yoga is one such place.
Located on a spot of prime real estate beside the rather lovely Playa d’en Bossa, Beachouse Ibiza started life as a restaurant but has expanded to become so much more. Start your day here with a free yoga session on the beach – they take place daily at 9.30am, which makes them especially useful if you’re in need of a detox after a wild night. Stick around afterwards for a delicious healthy breakfast, or just while away the hours on a sun lounger on the beach. This delectable combination of classic Mediterranean cooking, yoga and a killer beachside location has made the Beachouse one of the island’s favourite yoga spots.

The folk at PureOm Yoga take a more holistic approach to yoga, believing that – as they put it – “yoga is for everybody”, whether you’re a die-hard yogi or simply need to find a wellness-based hangover cure. Located in beautiful Santa Eulalia, PureOm seamlessly weaves together a blend of yoga, holistic health and wellbeing practices to bring your mind, body and soul some TLC.
Yoga disciplines on offer include, hatha and aroma yin, as well as Acroyoga for when regular yoga just won’t cut it any more and you need to throw in some acrobatics too. A one-day pass is 15€, and massage treatments are also available to help you unwind after all those intense yoga sessions.

A quintessential Ibiza retreat, Yogarosa is nestled away in a picture-perfect pine forest and offers accommodation in classically Ibizan white houses. Follow a winding lane through a scented forest where you can get close to nature before arriving at this therapeutic sanctuary. On arrival, you can enjoy a blissful stay filled with daily classes on sun-soaked outdoor yoga spaces. There are meditation sessions and thai massages, with your downtime spent in shady hammocks or beside not one, but two swimming pools.
Like many of Ibiza’s best yoga retreats, Yogarosa is holistic in nature, and – as you might expect from a retreat with a thriving vegetable garden – focuses on nutrition as much as on exercise.

Strenuous physical activity might not be everyone’s idea of a relaxing time, but that’s the ‘aim of the game’ at Body:fit, part of the five-star ME Ibiza hotel.
This stunning sea-view retreat has been open for five years now, establishing itself as something different on an island with many yoga and wellness retreats which can sometimes feel a little too familiar. Expect less meditation and hanging out poolside, but more HIIT training sessions, fat-burning kettlebell workouts, yoga (obviously), hiking, paddle boarding and nutrition seminars (with nutritious food to boot) courtesy of your PT.
But when you’re working hard, you also expect to play hard too, right? No problem here, because guests are actively encouraged to check out the local area and immerse themselves in Ibizan culture.
Address: Avinguda de s'Argamassa, 153, 07849 s'Argamassa, Illes Balears, Spain

Wild Soul Retreat is similarly adventurous, but a little less intense than the likes of Body:fit. The Wild Soul Retreat hits that sweet spot between mindfulness and adventure – following up daily classes (and a nutritious breakfast) with trips to some of the island’s most iconic natural locations, including Benirras beach and the peaceful, hidden coves found on Ibiza’s north shore.
Address: Casa San Juan, Playa Benirras, Puerto de San Miguel, Ibiza
Opening times: Open all year round
