Relax by the sea

Perranporth's family friendly beach is what attracts a large number of visitors to the town. Lessons are available for complete beginners as well as advanced surfers looking to improve their technique. A huge variety of other sports are available to try in Perranporth too, including kite surfing, stand up paddle boarding and mountain biking.

Out and about

You won't be short of attractions and things to do on this stretch of the coast. Consider a visit to Perranzabuloe Museum to discover all about the area's rich history. When you're in the mood for some exercise, take a stroll along the sand to Ligger Point, a haven for a large number of birds and butterflies.

The South West Coast Path walking route runs through the middle of Perranporth and adventurous walkers can follow it south towards St Agnes Heritage Coast a designated World Heritage Site. Enjoy an afternoon on the greens at Perranporth Golf Club or fit in a walk to the village of Rose, two miles to the east of Perranporth. Here you'll come across the Iron Age fort at Perran Round.

With so much to keep visitors busy during the daytime, it's a good job Perranporth and the surrounding area has a fantastic choice of cafés, pubs and restaurants. Relax with a cool drink outside The Tywarnhayle Inn or enjoy the excellent menu selection available at Willow Bistro. The Watering Hole, located right on the sands at Perranporth, is a great option if you don't want to stray far from the sea.
