Coldharbour Mill in nearby Uffculme is a 200 year old working spinning mill built in 1799, and is a rare surviving example of Georgian architecture, industry and enterprise. In 1982 the mill opened as a working museum and continues to produce high-quality knitting yarn on its original period machinery. Visitors can take a tour of the factory to learn about the processes involved, and buy a range of knitting wools and fabrics manufactured exclusively by the mill itself.
