Weather & Climate in Malta
Malta has warm, sunny summers and cooler, sometimes rainy winters. The prime beach season is from April to November, so a Malta holiday during the summer months pretty much guarantees great weather. With August temperatures between 28 to 34 °C (82 to 93 °F), it’s Mediterranean weather as its best. Evenings during those summer months are warm and it’s easy to enjoy a night out without a jacket. The winter months are none-too-shabby either compared to the UK and Valletta has the warmest winters of all the European capitals with an average temperature of 15 to 16 °C (59 to 61 °F) during the daytime, with nighttime temperatures averaging at 9 to 10 °C (48 to 50 °F). The island also enjoys nearly four times more sunshine during winter months than London does.
