The volcanoes, which include the smaller Petit Piton and the much larger Gros Piton, have even earned a place on the exclusive UNESCO World Heritage Site list.
The Sulphur Springs
View these exceptional sulphur springs in the south-east of the island and see the enormous volumes of steam that rise above the boiling water. It is estimated that they were formed around 410,000 years ago, and can easily be accessed by car, hence its status as the only 'drive-in' volcano on the planet.
Other sights in St Lucia
Go to the stunning Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens and see the fabulous waterfall and an impressive array of exotic plant life. You should also consider visiting scenic Marigot Bay, which has a small sheltered sandy beach and is a good spot for witnessing the sunset. If you have the time, relax on Vigie Beach, another beautiful sandy bay that is generally secluded and unspoilt.
