Wembley Stadium, London, is an English icon and home to the England national football team, as well as the famous FA Cup Final football match. As well as hosting many other major football events, the stadium also hosts rugby matches, boxing events and American Football matches, including the NFL International Series. The new stadium is a UEFA category 4, or elite, stadium. With 90,000 seats, it’s the largest stadium in the whole of the UK and the second-largest in Europe.
Besides sporting events, Wembley has been built in such a way that it can be configured to hold other events such as major music concerts, as well as private events like weddings and conferences. Huge musical names such as Take That, George Michael, One Direction, U2 and Madonna have played at Wembley, with Madonna holding the record for the highest-grossing concert in one night. The stadium has also been the location for two major charity concerts to date: Concert for Diana and Live Earth.
Relive spectacular moments in sporting history, or experience the tension of the players’ tunnel leading up to the pitch on a 75-minute guided stadium tour. A trip behind the scenes at Wembley includes a visit to the England changing rooms and a visit to the Royal Box, complete with a replica FA Cup and more. Feeling flush? Treat yourself to a VIP private guided tour, and see areas beyond those of the regular tour!
If you don't have time for a full tour of the stadium, why not just visit the viewing gallery on a shorter 30-minute tour? Here, visitors can see the stadium bowl from the magnificent Club Wembley Level, get their hands on a FA Cup replica and ask questions of their guide.
When you finish your visit inside Wembley Stadium, there’s still The Stadium Store to visit, to buy yourself a souvenir of your experience. The store sells replica England home and away football kits and training wear, as well as other England memorabilia. You can also buy Wembley Stadium memorabilia and match-day programmes to complete collections.
On event days, Club Wembley host a variety of different eating options inside the stadium itself for members. If you aren't a member, never fear, there are also a number of options outside of the stadium.
Try Las Iguanas for a taste of South America. This branded restaurant is a favourite on event days for family-friendly fare. Young's Peking Restaurant is a family-run business, which offers the very best Chinese food that Wembley has to offer. If it's variety with style that you are after, try Blue Check Restaurant or Watkin's Folly, for a variety of different cuisines in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
