Description
Welcome to Holiday Inn – the niu, Rig Lübeck, your relaxed Hanseatic home in the heart of the city. Lübeck is known as the gateway to the Baltic Sea – and our hotel celebrates this coastal spirit throughout: from the name and food & drinks to the turquoise-and-white color scheme and nautical touches like anchors, pirates, and sails. Housed in a charming listed building, our hotel combines historic character with modern comfort – perfect for city explorers, families, and business travelers alike. One of our biggest advantages is the central location: both Lübeck’s main train station and UNESCO-listed Old Town are just a short walk away – ideal for sightseeing or business trips. Prefer to take it easy? Our rooms offer everything for a relaxing stay: Smart TVs, invisible sound systems (main building only), screen mirroring, and plenty of USB ports. For those who need to work on the go but enjoy a lively atmosphere, our co-working area in the Living Lobby is just right. Our 24/7 bar is the place to unwind with a great drink and maybe meet a fellow traveler or two. Families are very welcome – we’re happy to provide an extra bed for your kids. And if you need help with tickets, tips, or directions, our multilingual front desk team is available for you around the clock.

A true Lübeck institution, the Café Niederegger Stammhaus has been delighting visitors since 1806, when confectioner Johann Georg Niederegger founded it. Famous worldwide for its marzipan, once exported to European royal houses, it still follows traditional recipes today. Pick up sweet souvenirs in the ground floor shop, enjoy cakes and hot drinks in the first floor café, and visit the museum upstairs with its life sized marzipan figures and insights into this unique craft.
