Keynsham Memorial Park
Close to the High Street you'll find the Keynsham Memorial Park which is made up of nearly 27 acres of parkland and wooded areas, and is intersected by the River Chew. The park is perfect for a serene stroll or relaxing on the grass or a bench while watching the world go by. Within the grounds you'll find a café, two children's play areas and a bowling green.
Attractions
There are plenty of nature reserves in this part of the country and eight miles to the west you'll discover the Forest of Avon. Here there is a community woodland and nature reserve with more than 50 acres of land containing around 19,000 trees and plants as well as a wildflower meadow. The reserve provides sanctuary for a host of different birds from Whitethroats to Bullfinches.
Less than three miles away, Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Country Park offers excitement and fun for all the family. Within 80 acres of lovely countryside you'll have the chance to interact with a range of farm and wildlife animals, watch falconry displays, take riverside walks while admiring the local flora and fauna. There are plenty of activities for children, such as the large outdoor play area, junior assault course and undercover play area.

Keynsham is a small town but has a good selection of places to eat and drink. The Empire of India brings the tantalising taste of the East to the West Country, and has a reputation for its tasty Indian and Bengal dishes, good atmosphere and friendly staff. The Pomegranate Café Restaurant offers breakfast, brunch and speciality teas. This friendly eatery often holds music, literary and art events. And for good old-fashioned pub fare served with a choice beer or cider, The Crown Inn is a popular haunt.

Keynsham has a smattering of shops from well-known names to independent and speciality stores. If you fancy splashing the cash in a larger shopping environment then nearby Bristol is a great destination. Bath, in the opposite direction, affords a host of popular high street stores.
