How to reach Bangalore

Flight time: Flights to Bangalore (now officially known as Bengaluru) from the UK typically take from around 9.5 to 11.5 hours. Direct flights are available with several airlines, mostly from London. Other flights include a stopover in India or elsewhere.

Transfer time: It usually takes 45 minutes to an hour to reach the city centre by taxi from Kempegowda International Airport, depending on traffic. Buses are also available, but take slightly longer.

• The cost for a taxi from the airport to the city centre is typically between ₹900–₹1000 (£9–£10).

• Alternatively, you can take the Vayu Vajra airport bus, which costs around ₹250 (£2.50).
