History & Architecture

Entertaining visitors for over a hundred years, Tierpark Hagenbeck is a zoo with open enclosures that houses over 1,850 animals. See polar bears, seals, walruses and many other species in an environment that reflects their natural surroundings. There are lots of activities here that all the family can enjoy, such as feeding the giraffes, and riding on the miniature railway. Get closer to nature with Planten un Blomen Park, a tranquil space with lots to explore. The park has an array of charming tropical hothouses, a rose garden, and a Japanese garden with a teahouse.
