Cannizaro House has a rich history, dating back to 1819, having played host to Lord Tennyson, Oscar Wilde and even the last Maharajah of the Punjab, its walls have born witness to some of history’s most vibrant characters. Located within 34 acres of Cannizaro Park and adjacent to Wimbledon Common, the hotel offers a tranquil setting yet is well connected, within the M25 and just 25 minutes from central London by frequent public transport. Aside from nearby boutique shopping and extensive parkland the hotel sits close to the All England Club, the home of tennis, which for a fortnight each year hosts the Wimbledon Tennis Championships attracting interest and personalities from around the world.

Perfect for a latte and a chat or a long island tea and a good read, ingeniously arranged to make you feel like you are in your own private snug. In chilly weather we make sure our large, real log fire is crackling away to keep you toasty warm.
The bistro is open daily for locals, visitors and residents alike. Offering a full a la carte menu. It's about serving up dishes that rely heavily on fresh and seasonal produce. It's about enjoying moderately priced à la carte dining in a down-to-earth, warm and relaxing setting. Choose from simple classic starters like like Escargots à la Bourguignonne and Steak Tartare, to a wide selection of mains including a wide selection of seasonal salads, Roast Rump of Lamb or 28 day dry-aged Steak Frites to delicious seasonal desserts including Peach Melba Sundae and Cinnamon Beignets.
Overlooking and with doors opening out onto the expansive Cannizaro park the Orangerie offers a bright and welcome space to meet for a coffee, a pre dinner drink or for a light bite. Serving the Al Fresco menu which brings together some lighter, flavourful interpretations of bistro classics the menu features starters such as Caprese Salad using delicious Heritage tomatoes or a Soup au Pistou a fresh, light seasonal minestrone soup or a Summer Squash Salad with quinoa, pomegranate and crumbled feta. For main courses there’s a scrumptious Chargrilled Normandy Chicken Cobb Salad or a hearty Steak Frites with a choice of sauces. Puddings include indulgences such as Rhubarb Fool with Ginger Crumble Biscuits, Tropical Fruit Pavloa or classic Strawberries with Crème Chantilly and an Artisan Cheese Selection with the finest fromages from France and Britain.
