The Aparthotel Arai is a 4-star boutique aparthotel located in the heart of Barcelona’s historic Gothic Quarter, inside the triangle formed by Las Ramblas, the Cathedral and Barcelona’s Port. Purchased in 2012 by Derby Hotels Collection, this renovated former eighteenth-century palace completely preserves the character and beauty of its original architecture. The result is a luxurious hotel that showcases works of art from the private Clos Foundation collection as well as an extensive range of objects and photographs uncovered during the building’s renovation.The aparthotel boasts a meeting room, terrace, swimming pool, solarium, gym and sauna in addition to its 31 exclusive rooms, which provide a sense of elegance and comfort down to their smallest details. Filled with furnishings crafted from the finest materials, Aparthotel Arai’s accommodations feature 17th-century brick walls, 19th-century hydraulic tile headboards, tables made from the building’s old wooden beams and wardrobes with doors saved from the palace’s former balconies. Restored wooden shutters as decorative elements and recovered lintels and engraved stone are displayed as works of art. The paintings and drawings on the ceilings have been restored along while antique wood has been repurposed as flooring.

Palosanto Restaurant is a classic tavern with a modern and young vocation, where the best ingredients for quality tapas are found. Kokka is the first Peruvian bar in Barcelona. Peruvian cuisine with a strong traditional influence, hints of modern gastronomy and the best of Chinese and Japanese cuisine.
