Málaga Cathedral
This stupendous Renaissance church was completed in the late-18th century after more than two centuries of construction, and contains many elaborate Baroque features in its interior. The building is also noted for its prominent tower and is adjacent to the Iglesia del Sagrano church, which is more than 500 years old.
The Alcazaba of Málaga
Created more than 900 years ago during Islamic Spain, the Alcazaba of Málaga is an awe-inspiring palatial fortress with a carefully preserved inner and outer citadel. Here, you can witness the ruins of the Roman theatre that was established more than 1,900 years ago, parts of which were recycled and used for the building of the Gate of the Columns (Puerta de las Columnas).
The Museo Picasso Málaga
Opened to the public in 2003, the Museo Picasso Málaga celebrates Malaga's most famous resident, indeed the most famous artist in Spanish history, Pablo Picasso, who was born in the city. See some of his greatest creations and learn about his fascinating life in a venue that is just a short walk from his birthplace, the Plaza de La Merced.

See the enchanting Gibralfaro Castle, which was built more than a millennium ago and still contains its original ramparts. For the perfect family day out, you can visit the popular Tivoli World amusement park, or take a day trip to the Sea Life Benalmádena aquarium in the suburb of Benalmádena.
