This beach lodge, ideally located along the northern KwaZulu-Natal coastline, is set in Isimangaliso World Heritage Park and boasts scuba diving and snorkelling opportunities. Overlooking a secluded bay, Thonga Beach Lodge is nestled in a picturesque dune forest and offers guests a unique retreat. Indulge in a sumptuous meal on the deck before relaxing in the lounge or around the outdoor firepit. Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim before going for a romantic walk on the beach. Thonga Lodge features only a small number of guest rooms, each raised on wooden stilts. Relax and enjoy the sunset whilst having sundowners. Wellness facilities are available and nearby activities include diving and fishing. King Shaka International Airport is 340 km away.

Please note that Thonga Beach Lodge is only accessible with a 4x4 vehicle. Alternatively, a transfer from a car parking area can be organised by the lodge and is offered twice daily at 12:00 and 15:00. The transfer needs to be pre-booked with the lodge in advance. At least 48 prior to arrival otherwise a vehicle may not be available.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time.
