There's a great variety of Sunbury hotels to choose from including many well-known hotel chains as well as more homely B&Bs.
Nightlife
Sunbury has an exciting nightlife for you to enjoy. A great place to visit is the Riverside Arts Centre, a special theatre and arts space run by dedicated volunteers. It holds lots of local plays as well as classical concerts.
Located just over the river from Sunbury is the Riverhouse Barn. The Riverhouse has been open for 25 years and hosts a wide range of productions from the classical Nicola Benedetti all the way to the comedian Dara O'Briain. Make sure to check what's on when you visit so you don't miss out. It also has its own café called the Riverhouse Kitchen which serves tea and tasty homemade lunches.
Local Food
Sunbury has lots on offer for when you're feeling peckish. A brilliant local pub to visit is the Magpie, located right on the river front. It even has its own mooring so you could arrive by boat. The pub's very cosy with roaring open fires and is famous for its Sunday roasts served with giant Yorkshire puddings.
Another great riverside restaurant to visit is located in the Weir Hotel. It offers lots of traditional hearty meals.
Arts
Sunbury's home to the fascinating Sunbury Embroidery Gallery. The gallery opened in 2006 is located in a walled garden in Sunbury park and is the permanent exhibition space for the famous Sunbury Millennium Embroidery. The embroidery's made up of nine panels and depicts the town including lots of local organisations and companies.
The gallery's well worth a visit just to see the fantastic embroidery but it also has a lovely café and runs a range of interesting workshops for you to take part in some arts and crafts yourself.
Rugby
If you're a keen rugby player or just like to watch then Sunbury is a great place to visit as it is home to the London Irish Rugby Club. You can take part in some training yourself with its five full-size pitches and state-of-the-art gym. If you prefer to watch the pros do their thing you can watch them train or watch full games played by their development team.
