While you’re there:
Bungalows are on offer, if you’re searching for a bit more comfort.

Best for: Camping enthusiasts.

3. Stroll around the town’s botanical garden

7. Soak up some sun on Álamos beach

There could never be just one beach in this part of Spain. The beach furthest away from the town centre, Los Álamos is the quietest sandy space. Families enjoy bathing in the sun, while adrenaline junkies kitesurf across the waves.

Hang around until the evening and enjoy a drink or two in the many bars on offer.

Best for:  Those looking for some quiet beach time.

8. Get your architecture fix at Casa de los Navajas

During the 1920s and 1930s, rich families chose Torremolinos as the place for their second residences. Incredible architecture then followed such as Casa de los Navajas mansion. Marvel at the Mozarabic features and Neo-Mudejar style of the building. Outside, the tiles display a rainbow of colour from deep azure blues to vibrant yellows. Belonging to the Luque-Navajas family, the place now hosts concerts, theatre shows and exhibitions.

If you need more sand, head to the Bajondillo beach, which is close by.

Best for: Architecture buffs.

9. Peek at marine wildlife

Love wildlife? Head to Selwo Marina to see an exciting variety of marine animals. Located in Benalmádena, just outside Torremolinos, this is the only park like it in this area of Spain. There are four areas in the park housing a range of animals. Enjoy finding dolphins, sea lions, penguins and much more. You can get up close to the animals and you can feed them and swim with them, too.
