If you’re arty, you’re in for a real treat in Milton Keynes. You can download the MK50 Art Trail app and follow a route which takes you around a handful of creative spots in the town. The tour starts at the Milton Keynes Museum in Wolverton and takes you around over 10 public art spaces.

While you’re there: If you’re looking for more art, head to the Milton Keynes City Discovery Centre which is a top art museum in the area.
It may be surprising, but Milton Keynes is home to some fantastic wildlife. There are plenty of spots to find some swimming otters and dazzling butterflies. Think the Blue Lagoon, Edgewick Farm, Howe Park Wood, Hazeley Wood and Furzton Lake for some great places to find some friendly creatures.

Nearly half of Milton Keynes is covered by greenery. Think lush parks and plenty of fun outdoor spaces for kids to run around in. Milton Keynes is therefore perfect for picnics. Grab a blanket, pack some picnic food and enjoy all the green spaces that Milton Keynes has to offer.

If you’re looking for modern art in Milton Keynes, head to the Concrete Cows, a piece created by Canadian artist Liz Leyh in the 70s. Found next to Monks Way, this is one of the most standout pieces of art in the area. Kids will love spotting the cows from a distance and taking pictures with them. It’s one of the best free things to do in Milton Keynes for sure.

Milton Keynes is great for cycling. Explore it’s huge and vast green space on two wheels. It’s the perfect way to get some exercise while on holiday and it’s a fun way to explore the town. Heritage Cycle Trails offers a range of cycling routes to download so you can carefully organise your time on your bike. It’s a fantastic way to spend time with the family too.

Milton Keynes is home to the pretty Grand Union Canal and is an attractive spot to wander around. The whole family will enjoy spotting ducks in the canal and the peaceful atmosphere around the water.

While you’re there: Willen Lake is another fantastic spot for a walk. It attracts over 750,000 visitors every year.
