All awards and competitions found within the source have been used.  London has been used as the starting point with the capital city as the destination, over the course of a one way trip for 1 adult as at 1st October 2019. A median has been created from all relevant flight-only results shown on the first page. For each location, an average meal cost has been created from multiple options.  Countries have been selected based on highest number of wine awards.  Wine regions have been excluded where they produce wine exclusively for local consumption, have not yet become wide sellers, or are noted as producing low quality wines not widely consumed. For weighting, metrics such as wine awards, experiences, vineyards are considered first.  The United Kingdom has been included separately in some cases as travel has been considered to be from London airports to country capitals, rendering travel costs for the UK as nil.
