Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi in public areas and all rooms. Rooms at the George Hotel are decorated in bright, warm tones. Many come with en-suite bathrooms and all feature a flat-screen TV. hair dryer and tea/coffee-making facilities. The hotel bar serves a selection of wines and spirits as well as draught ales and fresh ground coffee. A carvery is served every Sunday. In the morning, guests get a breakfast, including hot breakfast items, cereals, toast, juice, tea and coffee. Less than a minute’s walk from the Whitby Tourist Information Centre and Whitby Railway Station, The George is within easy walking distance of Whitby’s shops and museums. Whitby Abbey and Whitby beach are a 10-minute stroll from the hotel. Whitby is surrounded by the rugged North York Moors National Park and many stunning coastal walks.
