Due to the vicinity of attractions like the Madonna della Costa Sanctuary and a plethora of small, but beautifully ornate churches, La Pigna has gained popularity among tourists who appreciate history and art.
Foreshadowed by its name, the Port District is adjacent to the Old Harbour and encompasses a lively neighbourhood, characterised by a blend of modern and classic Italian architectures. The harbour, active with fishing boats and yachts, bestows a unique marine charm to the district. For those with a penchant for seafood, a host of fish restaurants dot the waterfront. This district too offers an array of accommodation choices, along with the added benefit of being at a stone's throw from attractions such as Forte Santa Tecla and the vibrant Sanremo Market.
Finally, the area of Corso degli Inglesi and surroundings is worth noting. A tree-lined avenue, it is adored for its private villas and gardens that make for a tranquil stay. The vicinity of the Villa Nobel and Villa Ormond, along with their lush gardens, render this area an attractive choice for nature lovers.
Whichever district in Sanremo is chosen, easy access to the city's famous palm-fringed beaches is assured, offering the perfect blend of urban convenience and coastal relaxation.
