Things to do during a Benicassim Holiday

There are lots of sporting activities from paragliding to trekking to sailing to windsurfing. The yearly music festival takes place in July here in Benicassim and it lasts for 4 days, unlike festivals in Britain, in Benicassim you are guaranteed good weather. There are chart-topping bands as well as poetry and circus trapeze. This festival keeps its Spanish character although half the festival-goers are predicted to be British. It starts late and goes on late, and is fondly known by locals as the amp camp. If this is not for you, there are many excursions or you can pay a visit to nearby localities like Castellion or visit any number of natural parks. The Aquaram water park is a fun filled day out and is highly recommended which also has amazing fake sponge grass area where you can chill out. The medieval part of the town is also well worth a visit 10th century castle of Montremos, the 15th century San Vicente Tower and the 18th century neoclassical Church which are all fairly close to each other.

Nightlife

A holiday in Benicassim is known for its lively discos, bars and nightclubs where you can dance the night away. Nightlife starts late here so make sure you have your siesta.
