Albufeira is always one for a fantastic night out. At night, the focus of Albufeira’s lively bar scene is the pedestrianised Rua Cândido dos Reis, where a fun crowd enjoys live soccer, friendly bars and pumping music. Late-night clubs can mostly be found in the suburbs east of the centre, especially around Avenida Dr. Francisco Sá Carneiro (aka The Strip).
Albufeira bars don’t get much better than this! Café Iguana is an attractive café-bar on the clifftop, whose terrace has fantastic views over the town and the beach. It also serves baguettes and snacks, as well as a range of cocktails.
Kiss is home to five bars and two dance floors. It’s Albufeira’s best-known club. It often hosts international guest DJs (keep an eye out for flyers) though it can get somewhat lairy. It’s 2km east of the old town. Green and blue bus routes pass nearby, so transport is easily accessible.
Matt’s Bar is a lively and fun bar/club with guest DJs, great music and alluring cocktails. Established for around 17 years, this is a firm favourite venue in Albufeira. Put on your dancing shoes, as this is a great night out!
Once a fisherman’s shack, O Farol has been reborn as a modern beach bar/restaurant, with a superbly positioned terrace touching the sands. A great spot for a sundowner, it also does good-value meat and fish dishes from around €10 for if you’re peckish. This is one of the best bars in Albufeira for both views, drinks and a spot of food.
A small, arty lounge bar with delightful decor. Think Moroccan-style cushions and lovely tiles on the walls. Head to the back terrace which is home to some fine views over the beach. Sal Rosa serves decent tapas, and drinks including a long list of regionally-influenced cocktails. Try the Algarvian Daiquiri, with almond liqueur, lime and honey for something really special. If you’re looking for cheap holidays to Albufeira, make sure to come in the summer. You’ll be treated to endless sun, sparkling beaches and great evening entertainment - a holiday to remember!
This bar is great to enjoy happy hour. As the name suggests, there are cocktails aplenty here! Filled with friendly staff and a buzzing atmosphere, you’ll enjoy a pleasant evening here. Kids are also very welcome. There are plenty of snacks to nibble on, too.
An Irish pub, this spot will make some great memories. With sing-alongs aplenty, there’s some great music played here. There’s a whole host of fantastic drinks available. Guinness, of course, is on the list. Take your drink outside and make the most of the outdoor seating and watch the world go by.
