When you finally can travel further afield, staying in one of Puglia’s many trulli is an absolute must. Trulli are traditional huts made of limestone with a cone-shaped roof. Alberobello, a small town in Puglia, is famous for its collection of over 1000 trulli which were built in the 14th century and are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These houses have stood the test of time, and have now been transformed into shops, restaurants and accommodation. For cultural explorers and history buffs, this is a great place to stay.
