Waitress Description

A new musical, celebrating friendship, motherhood and the magic of a well-made pie, Waitress comes to the West End this spring after charming sold-out audiences on Broadway. Based on the acclaimed 2007 film, Waitress tells the story of Jenna, who dreams of escaping her small town and loveless marriage. A new arrival in town, a baking contest, and Jenna’s expert pie making skills might just be her ticket out. Waitress made history on Broadway for its all-female creative team, including writer Jessie Nelson (I Am Sam) and director - the Tony Award winning Diane Paulus. Music and lyrics are provided by the acclaimed, 6-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles.

Starring singer-songwriter and actress Katharine McPhee (Smash, American Idol) fresh from her acclaimed run in the Broadway production, with a supporting cast including Jack McBrayer (30 Rock, Wreck-It Ralph). Don’t miss Waitress at the Adelphi Theatre, it’s sure to be one of the most heart-warming, mouth-watering shows in town.
