What's the storyline?

Lise, a beautiful country lass, and Colas, a handsome farm lad, are the two central characters who fall in love and wish to be married. Widow Simone has different ideas and schemes for her daughter to wed the hapless son of a wealthy vineyard owner. Will Lise and Colas' love win through? Full of wit and humour along the way, this timeless and highly popular ballet remains a firm favourite for all the family.

Who is performing in the production?

Their captivating portrayal of these lovable, rural characters is superbly enhanced by the musical score arranged by John Lanchbery, performed by the Royal Ballet Sinfonia, and conducted by Barry Wordsworth.
