  • Age recommendation: Child ages: 7-16. Children aged 6 and below are freeChildren must be accompanied by an adult (18yrs+) when visiting galleries.

  • Other info: 

    From the 1st June 2019 sightseeing visitors to St Paul’s will be permitted to take photographs inside the Cathedral. This has been prohibited for many years and the policy change recognizes and enables the clear desire from our visitors to capture their experience.

    This applies to non-professional personal use only. Filming video or the use of flash, additional lighting, tripods, monopods and selfie sticks is not permitted. Photography of children and young people is prohibited without consent of the accompanying adult.

    The Whispering Gallery is a no photography area at all times for safety reasons, as is St Dunstan’s Chapel our space for private prayer and reflection. Photography is not permitted during services and should be paused during hourly prayer. Additional areas of the Cathedral may occasionally be designated as “no photography” and this will be indicated with signage. 

    Changes to opening and closing times:

    The Whispering Gallery is closed until further notice.

    Please note that the cathedral is not open for sightseeing on Sundays. 

    The cathedral opens for sightseeing at 08.30 Monday to Saturday. Last admission to the cathedral is at 16.00. Once inside the cathedral, access to the Whispering, Stone and Golden Galleries is from 09.30 – 16.15. The cathedral closes for sightseeing at 16.30. The café, restaurant and shop close at 17.00. 

    January 20th Cathedral opens 10.15. Galleries open 10.30

    January 31st Last admission for sightseeing 11.00. Last admission to galleries 11.15

    Cathedral floor to be clear of visitors 12.30. Shop and café remain open.

    February 26th Ash Wednesday. No sightseeing. Cathedral open for worship only.

    March 20th Cathedral opens 10.15. Galleries open 10.30

    March 27th Cathedral closed all morning; expected to open for sightseeing at 13.00

    April 9th Cathedral closed all morning; expected to open for sightseeing at 12.45

    April 10th Good Friday. No sightseeing. Cathedral open for worship only

    April 11th Last admission for sightseeing 15.00. Last admission to galleries 15.15.

    May 12th Last admission for sightseeing 13.00. Last admission to galleries 13.15

    Cathedral floor to be clear of visitors 14.30. Shop and café remain open. 

    May 22nd Cathedral opens 10.15. Galleries open 10.30

    June 20th Last admission for sightseeing 11.30. Last admission to galleries 11.45

    Cathedral floor to be clear of visitors 12.45. Shop and café remain open.

    June 23rd Cathedral closed all morning; expected to open for sightseeing at 12.00

  • Voucher exchange instructions: Please take your voucher/confirmation to the ticket office along with photo ID for entrance to St. Paul's Cathedral. The ticket allows access to the entire cathedral.
