Costa Adeje can be found on the southwest coast of Tenerife. The area has year-round sunshine and is a popular holiday destination for families, couples and single travellers.

For dark volcanic sand, spend the day on quieter Playa de Ajabo where there are umbrellas and loungers to hire and a handful of bars for refreshments. For somewhere a bit more upmarket, head to the Playa del Duque which is backed by luxury hotels and fine restaurants.

Aqualand in Costa Adeje

Spend a day away from the beach and visit the Aqualand water park. There are water slides with names like Tornado and Kamikaze for adrenaline junkies, and family play pools for the little ones. The daily dolphin show is not to be missed either. Get there by a shuttle bus that collects visitors from a few locations around Costa Adeje.
