There are several historical buildings worth seeing in Wetherby, including The Shambles, built in 1811 as ten butchers shops but later converted into a covered market, and St James Church, dating from the 19th century.
One of the oldest structures in Wetherby is Wetherby Bridge, a Grade II-listed ancient monument that spans the River Wharfe and has done for over 700 years. The riverbank is a pleasant location for a stroll and there are a number of companies offering cruises along the river during the warmer spring and summer months.
Gardens
Wetherby is an award-winning floral town and during the spring and summer there are flowers blooming from practically every pot and garden.
