Hotels in Wadebridge

One of north Cornwall's main market towns, Wadebridge straddles the River Camel and is the gateway to the Camel Trail, a large attraction in Cornwall. A centralised location, riverside walks, unique shopping experiences and more means that the town has much to offer visitors of all ages.

Family entertainment

Families will enjoy a trip to Crealy Great Adventure Park, 111 acres of family-friendly rides, play areas and animal encounters, a great day out for everyone.

About 10 minutes from Wadebridge, visitors can find the Porteath Bee Centre, a chance to observe and learn about bees and honey production. There is a Living Honey Exhibition where visitors can get close to beehives without actually being stung. The onsite shop sells all manner of products ranging from honey, handmade beeswax candles, furniture polishes, cosmetics and more.

Relaxing walks and shopping

Wadebride town itself offers some wonderful arts and crafts galleries and shops, and the riverside is perfect for an afternoon stroll. Visit the neighbouring village of Egloshayle and stop off at the Earl of St. Vincent, a 12t- century pub which used to be used as a boarding house for masons who constructed the church.

Walkers and cyclists will love staying in Wadebridge. The Camel Trail is a popular route for these and horse riders, who use it to get to Padstow and the seaside. Alternatively they can go inland through wooded valleys to Bodmin and Bodmin Moor, which is 15 miles away. Wadebridge is also on the famous Saints Way, a 16-mile cross-country path forged in ancient times by Celtic Saints. There are also spectacular coastal walks to be found within a few miles of Wadebridge.

Food and drink

There is so much diversity in Wadebridge and the surrounding area when it comes to food and drink. No trip to Cornwall is complete without treating yourself to a traditional Cornish cream tea or a tasty Cornish pasty, and three of the best places to find these are Manna Tea Room, The Old Tea House and Carnewas Tea Rooms.

There are a number of Wadebridge hotels from which to explore the area, whatever your tastes and budget.
