Hotels in Studland

Studland is a beautiful English village in Dorset with lovely sandy beaches and chalky white cliffs. These beaches along with its local nature reserve and winding country lanes make it a picturesque place to visit.

There's a lot of choice when it comes to Studland hotels, with sea view hotels and even cottages offering accommodation. Whether you are planning a long break or just visiting for one night there is somewhere to suit your needs.

Restaurants and Local Food

Studland has a great selection of restaurants and pubs for you to choose from. A great restaurant you really shouldn't miss is The Pig which is perfectly situated on Studland Bay. The brilliant thing about The Pig is that they have their own kitchen garden where they source the freshest of ingredients. They even have their own wood-fired oven in their garden so they can cook you pizza the traditional way.

When you fancy a café stop you should head to Chococo Swanage located just two miles from Studland. They sell delicious homemade chocolate, serve speciality tea and even run chocolate workshops where you can try your hand at making chocolate yourself.

Beaches

The real draw of Studland is its four miles of beautiful sandy beaches. The water is brilliant for bathing and the heathland behind the beach is a nature reserve with lots of native wildlife. The reserve has signposted trails guiding you through its sands and woodlands.

A great way to enjoy the beach is on horseback. Studland Stables friendly staff offer guided rides along the beach as well as through the surrounding heath. If you are feeling brave you can visit the naturist section of the beach which is the most popular naturist beach in Britain.

Shopping

You won't want to leave without picking up a few souvenirs or some presents to take home. The nearby town of Swanage is a great place to visit to do just that. Swanage has its own market held on Fridays where you can pick up lots of local produce. There are also many local independent shops such as Pursenalities selling a range of handbags and accessories. The Owl Pottery Craft Workshop sells unique pottery made in the town itself.

Sports

If you're looking for something more adrenaline-pumping then you should visit Studland Sea School. The school offers a wide range of actives including kayaking, snorkelling and coasteering. They cater to all levels of experience so everyone can have a go.
