Hotels in Rock
Nestled in the Worcestershire countryside, the pretty little village of Rock is the perfect destination to kick back and unwind in, with beautiful countryside on the doorstep and quaint places to visit nearby.
Set in the Wyre Forest District of Worcestershire, Rock is a petite tourist hotspot with charming places to visit all around.
This lively place always has something going on, and the focal point of Rock is definitely the Village Hall. Set in lovely grounds, it's the venue for events and live music, and the annual Rock Show. A lovely relic of a bygone era, people flock to take part in the cookery, horticultural and even the kid's exhibitions.
Exploring the area
One of the best ways to spend your time in Rock is out in the countryside. With the Wyre Forest close by, there are plenty of trails to discover.
Just a short drive takes you to the nearby towns of Bewdley and Kidderminster, both with lots more attractions and tourist hotspots. Bewdley's West Midland's Safari Park and the Severn Valley Railway are both fun places to spend a day. And in Kidderminster you can pop across to the historic Harvington Hall to get a taste of local history, or the Worcestershire County Museum.
Staying over and eating out
There are not a lot of Rock hotels in the centre of the village itself. As such a small and unspoiled place you'll need to travel across to the bigger towns like Kidderminster for larger chains like the Mecure. But there are lots of homely B&B's nearby like The Elms and Country Barn.
When thinking about grabbing a bite to eat, make sure to get out and dine at some of the traditional pubs in and around the area like The Sun and Slipper and The Plough Inn. That way you'll get the chance to really soak up the relaxed, countryside setting.
