Hotels in Rhos On Sea

Visit Rhos-on-Sea and experience the best of North Wales. Located between Llandudno and Colwyn Bay, it is neat, pristine and very peaceful. The long seafront promenade takes in the breakwater, where a little harbour echoes the atmosphere of a typical Welsh coastal town. There are interesting little shops you won't find elsewhere, heritage trails and an 18-hole golf course with stunning sea views. Sailing, fishing and swimming are all popular here and cyclists can follow a track for miles down the coast. Small really is beautiful in this charming seaside resort.

Attractions

You don't have to be religious to appreciate The Holy Well and Chapel of St. Trillo. This tiny church is tucked away on a quiet stretch of Rhos-on-Sea's promenade and only seats six. Seen by many as an oasis of calm and tranquillity with an intriguing history, it's almost always open and there is outside seating, the perfect place to sit, reflect and feel at peace.

Get treated to a great afternoon's entertainment at the Harlequin Puppet Theatre. Small and friendly, this is excellent for all ages. The host really gets the audience going so you'll be far from bored. As well as the main show there is a marionette cabaret and interactive magic part of the show for children. So take a stroll down the promenade for some traditional English fun.

Why not take a picnic, wander around and enjoy the views of Bryn Euryn Nature Reserve. This beautiful area is steeped in local ancient history, with ruins of a late 16th-century medieval house and a breath-taking fort amongst the rocks and meadows. Climb to the top and be treated to stunning views of the area and towards Snowdonia where the wildlife and flowers are truly amazing. And with plenty of parking, good signposting and interlinking pathways, you can enjoy this day out with ease.

Restaurants, pubs and nightlife

A firm favourite in Rhos-on-Sea is La Dolce Vita. A lovely upstairs restaurant, the food here is a real treat, serving incredibly tasty seafood and Italian delicacies on a wide menu. And offering three courses for £20, there's not much to dislike. It has a lovely, bustling atmosphere and cosy seating by the fire, a real family-run restaurant.

Hickory's Smokehouse is an American style eatery offering an outstanding variety of options. With a fantastic atmosphere, music playing and an entertainment room with colouring and films for the kids, everyone is well catered for. There is also an outdoor area a stone's throw away from the traditional shops on the sea front. Remember to book early for those popular midweek specials, like 'Steak and Shake' Night for that little bit of extra fun.
