Hotels in Maida Vale
A sought-after residential community, Maida Vale benefits from fast, frequent tube links to central London, and is probably best known for being the home of the BBC's Maida Vale Studios.
The Maida Vale Studios
Built in the Edwardian period, these studios were originally known as the Maida Vale Roller Skating Palace and Club and have been the venue for the BBC Symphony Orchestra for more than 80 years. The site has several state-of-the-art recording studios, and is very close to Warwick Avenue Underground Station and several Maida Vale hotels.
Little Venice
One of London's most picturesque districts, Little Venice is the nickname for a section of the Grand Union Canal surrounded by Blomfield Road, Maida Avenue and Warwick Crescent. Today, it features several elegant cafés and restaurants, and is overlooked by numerous charismatic Georgian and Victorian terraced houses.
The Regent's Park
Within walking distance of Maida Vale, Regent's Park is one of London's most famous Royal Parks and is the home of the internationally acclaimed Open Air Theatre, which organises many world-class productions each year. To witness one of the finest panoramic views of London's constantly evolving skyline, head to Primrose Hill on the park's northern section. Regent's Park is also the location of London Zoo, which is the oldest scientific zoo in the world and has hundreds of animal species.
To the south: Hyde Park
Only a short Tube or bus journey, Hyde Park was the venue for the Great Exhibition in 1851 and is probably London's most popular open space, thanks to its proximity to the West End and the department stores of Oxford Street. The park contains the large Serpentine lake, which was formed in the Georgian era and was broadcast to millions of people all across the world when it was used as a venue for some of the swimming events of the London 2012 Olympics.

There are hundreds of other tourist attractions within a five-mile radius of Maida Vale, but if you're struggling to choose where to go, consider spending some time in London's free museums. Some of the best-known include the British Museum near Holborn, the Natural History Museum in South Kensington, and the National Gallery next to Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column.
