Hotels in Mablethorpe

This attractive seaside resort is adjacent to a fantastic sandy beach and became a popular holiday destination after the development of the local railway network in the Victorian era.

The town, which was an inspiration for the distinguished poet Lord Tennyson, was once home to a church dedicated to St Peter, although, due to successive erosion over the years, it was washed away by the North Sea. Today, Mablethorpe is overlooked by St Mary's Church, which dates back to at least the 13th century and is now a Grade II listed building.

What to see

Visit the Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary and Wildlife Centre, which is part of a series of sand dunes and is the perfect family day out. Take the sand train along the beach and enjoy the wonderful scenery and fresh air while you sit back and relax. Meanwhile, on the southern outskirts of the town is Queens Park, which features an 18-hole Crazy Golf course, a padding pool, a miniature railway, and plenty of other family attractions that will provide hours of fun.
