Skiing
The nursery slopes for beginners are conveniently positioned right beside the main village, meaning you won't have far to travel before you can get started. There are also a number of gentle slopes 2,000m above the village on the glacier. The resort ski school also provides the Ski Voice system that allows instructors to talk to clients via radio up to a distance of 700m. The resort really comes into its own for intermediate skiers, with many of the more challenging slopes located directly above the village itself. There are also 19 more difficult black runs, perfect for advanced skiers, covering an area of 43km.
Snowboarding
Les Deux Alpes is one of the world's leading snowboard resorts, including a 10-hectare snow park that features an excellent beginner's area as well as a 120m-long pipe. There's also a slope zone for snowboarders and a fun zone full of rail ramps and wooden logs to traverse. The area also features a giant air bag to land on, supervised by fully qualified instructors.
Après-ski
There are around 30 different bars in the resort, making the area ideal if you're travelling with friends and looking for a good time. Le Windsor serves a wide range of cocktails, O'Brians offers a welcoming Irish atmosphere and Smithy's is the place to go for live music.
Kids
If you're traveling with young kids in tow, Bonhomme de Neige has three different childcare facilities including a nursery and leisure centre. There are ski classes for children with a range of experiences, from the nursery classes to French national ski classes. Away from the slopes there are plenty of other activities to enjoy, from quad biking to swimming and ice-skating.
Food and drink
The vibrant atmosphere of Les Deux Alpes means that there are plenty of restaurants to cater to a range of tastes. Here you'll find everything from Thai to Italian cuisine, as well as a number of authentic local favourites. This includes crêpes at Crêpes à gogo and traditional French dishes at Le Passe Montagne.
