Hotels in Javea

The coastal town of Javea, known as Xabia, can be found on the edge of a sweeping bay overlooking the Mediterranean in the province of Alicante, Spain. Flanked by the rocky headlands of Cap de La Nao and Cap de San Antoni, there are sheer cliffs offering spectacular vistas, as well as sandy beaches and hidden coves to explore. Olive and citrus trees grow in abundance and fresh fish gleaned from the clear, blue sea make their way to the local restaurants. Javea hotels are in plentiful supply, offering accommodation to suite all budgets.

Out and About:

Amble around the quaint old town of Javea with its narrow streets and wrought iron balconies. Visit the 14th century Church of Sant Bartomeu, hidden within the heart of the town's historic quarter, or take in one of the many art galleries and museums available close by. Here you will find a variety of nightclubs, cafes and restaurants to keep you entertained throughout the day and into the evening.

For a beautiful view, don your walking boots and take a hike in the Montgo Natural Park. There's plenty of wildlife and interesting fauna to spot, along with the heady aroma of lavender and rosemary in the air.

If you're after a sandy beach and a variety of places to eat, then the Arenal Promenade is a must see destination. The wide seafront, lined with interesting shops, cafes and restaurants is the perfect place for a stroll or a bite to eat, as you take in the sea view. Watch the boats come in after a busy day on the high sea at the town's picturesque marina and fishing port nearby.

For spectacular views and a pebble-strewn beach, visit the Playa La Granadella, just a short drive away from Javea. With plenty of restaurants nearby and some beautiful walks, this is a stunning place to spend an afternoon.

Outdoor Adventures:

In an environment as beautiful as the Alicante region, there's always plenty to do on the activity front. If you fancy a tailor made guided tour armed with a snorkel, floating on a kayak or riding a bike, it can be arranged via the Siesta Advisor Javea. If you want to learn to scuba dive or snorkel, then the Buceo Cabo la Nao, will be able to assist you. For a more sedate game of bowls, try The Inn on the Green, home to the Javea Bowls Club. You don't need to be a member, simply turn up and join in. Alternatively tuck into a tasty lunch and make the most of a well stocked bar.
