Local history

The parish church of St Peter and St Paul is a Grade I listed property, dating from around 1200. Around the church are various towers and memorials, including a Grade II listed war memorial made from a former churchyard cross. Apart from this historical area, most of the village is relatively modern and has been built up in recent years due to the popularity of tourism along the coast. If you want more history, a short drive to the west will take you to Lincoln with its striking cathedral.

Fantasy Island and Butlins

The Fantasy Island theme park makes for an exciting day out, with a number of thrilling rides including the Jubilee Odyssey (named to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II), Volcanic Impact and the Millenium Roller Coaster. Entry to the park is free and guests can either pay per ride or buy an all-inclusive wristband. The area is also famous for Butlins holiday park, which includes the Splash World swimming pool and a host of live music and comedy events.

Skegness

Only 5km from Ingoldmells is Skegness, and here you'll find even more beaches, rides and other attractions. Whether you want to watch a show at the Embassy Theatre, have fun with the kids at Captain Kids Adventure Play or make friends with seals at the Natureland Seal Sanctuary, Skegness has plenty for you to get up to during your stay.
