Hotels in Hanley

One of the original six towns that now comprises the city of Stoke-on-Trent, Hanley was once known as the 'capital of the Potteries' because of its thriving pottery businesses, which helped Staffordshire become the leading pottery centre in Britain in the Industrial Revolution.

Hanley was also a busy mining centre until the 20th century, and was originally known as 'Hanlih' in the Middle Ages.
