Hotels in Faliraki

A sought-after holiday destination on one of the most spectacular islands of the Aegean Sea, Faliraki is renowned for its outstanding water park and exotic, quintessentially Mediterranean scenery. That's not all: the resort also overlooks Blue Flag-award-winning sandy beaches, benefits from a diverse restaurant scene serving most major cuisines, and is particularly family friendly.

The Water Park

The main attraction in the town, the water park contains many adrenaline-infusing rides that will provide hours of fun for the whole family. The park serves plenty of fresh fast food, and is suitable for people of all ages.

The Medieval City of Rhodes

On the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage Site list, the Medieval City of Rhodes contains many fine Gothic and Ottoman landmarks, and is surrounded by an enormous medieval wall that is four kilometres in length. The settlement, which was designed by the Knights Hospitaller, has resisted modern developments, and is the location of the ruined Colossus of Rhodes, a striking statue from the Greek Empire that was built approximately 2, 300 years ago and depicts the Greek god Helios.

Anthony Quinn Bay

This breathtaking bay overlooks extremely clear emerald waters and is the perfect spot for sunbathing or swimming. The beach, which can be accessed via the EO Rodou Lindos road, is one of the most photogenic in the Dodecanese Islands, and is usually much quieter than most of the other beaches in Rhodes thanks to its secluded location.

Other sites on the island

See the Byzantine Museum (Palace of the Grand Master), where you can find out more about Rhodes' formidable Byzantine past, or visit the Archaeological Museum of Rhodes, housed in the magnificent 15th-century Hospital of the Knights.

Although certainly not as well preserved as the Acropolis of the Greek capital, the Acropolis of Rhodes is still a fascinating sight that has stood over the island since the Classical Greek era. The site also includes a large ancient theatre and stadium, and was excavated by the Italian School of Archaeology at Athens in the early 20th century.

Dining in Faliraki

Enjoy some divine local cuisine at the Toula Taverna, the Manolis Taverna, or the Mousikorama, or have some mouthwatering international recipes at the Something Different restaurant. Other great choices include the American-inspired Alabama Bar Diner, the Italian-, vegetarian- and Mediterranean-themed Lime Food Café, and the Panchos Mexican restaurant.
