Hotels in Clydebank

Found on the banks of the River Clyde, Clydebank really grew during the Industrial Revolution, supporting a burgeoning, specialist trade in shipbuilding.

One of the most curious and impressive landmarks of the town is a relic of this past. The Clydebank Titan is an enormous, restored crane, originally used to build some of the largest vessels in the world, of their day. Today, you can explore this fully restored structure, taking in the views of the town from its lofty heights, or for the brave, you can even try bungee jumping from the very top.

Places of interest

During your travels around the town, you may notice the grassy mounds along the way. These are part of the Roman fortification called the Antonine Wall.

If you're looking to soak up a bit of culture, visit the Clydebank Museum. Built on the sight of the old Turkish Baths, this charming little venue always has great art exhibitions and lots of interesting things to discover.

For something fun and a little more energetic, check out the Jurassic Parrr Adventure Golf course, or even the always popular, Monkey Madness for kids.

Hotels and restaurants

This vibrant town is packed with great eateries. There are a few really good Indian and Italian restaurants locally, with one of the most popular being Diva, serving a mixture of both Indian and Italian dishes. Casa Italia is another lively place to visit, and McMonagles, serves great traditional British food.

Clydebank hotels are not plentiful, but there are lots of options towards Glasgow within easy reach, including budget friendly Travelodge's and Premier Inns. But, if you'd like to stay closer to this charming destination, try The Beardmore Hotel & Conference Centre or West Park Hotel.

So if you'd like to escape it all in a fun, laidback place, make sure to check out Clydebank.
