The Royal Welsh Show
Each July thousands of visitors descend on Builth Wells' hotels ahead of the Royal Welsh Show. While livestock has traditionally been the main focus of the four-day event, other aspects of farming and rural life now feature, from food and drink to countryside sports, crafts, forestry and music. The permanent showground at Llanelwedd is used for a number of other events throughout the year, including a spring festival and winter fair.
Outside of events at the town's showground, there's plenty to see and do around Builth Wells. The Wyeside Arts Centre houses galleries and a cinema, and also hosts a varied calendar of live events.
