Hotels in Builth Wells

Set on the banks of the River Wye, less than half an hour away from the beautiful surroundings of the Brecon Beacons National Park, the market town of Builth Wells is probably best known for hosting the Royal Welsh Show. The annual event showcases the best in Welsh livestock, food and drink.

The Royal Welsh Show

Each July thousands of visitors descend on Builth Wells' hotels ahead of the Royal Welsh Show. While livestock has traditionally been the main focus of the four-day event, other aspects of farming and rural life now feature, from food and drink to countryside sports, crafts, forestry and music. The permanent showground at Llanelwedd is used for a number of other events throughout the year, including a spring festival and winter fair.
