Doubletree by Hilton Chester

Chester is packed with historic must-sees, classy restaurants and ultra-trendy bar. And the DoubleTree Chester fits right in with its surroundings. Cool, stylish and gorgeously luxurious, it’ll make yours a trip to remember.

Part of the iconic Hilton group, DoubleTree by Hilton hotels are perfectly designed to be cosy and chic, and the 4-star DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Spa Chester is no exception.

This luxurious retreat is defined by great convenient modern extras like wi-fi, and lovely human touches like a cookie on arrival, so you’ll be right at home as soon straight away.

Set within beautiful grounds just outside Chester, the hotel is in a grand, Grade II listed 18th-century manor house, so you really feel like you’re somewhere elegant and special. And it’s just outside Chester city centre so you’re a short drive from all the historic and tourist spots, but far enough away to unwind in peaceful, spacious surroundings.

Making the most of your time

We’d definitely recommend spending time at the DoubleTree Hilton Chester if you have the chance to relax. If you’re feeling like staying put, or if you’re just short on time, there are lots of gorgeous amenities to enjoy while you’re there.

If you’re after a bit of a pamper session, head down to the spa for a treatment, and afterwards you can grab a bite to eat on the beautiful terrace. While you’re there, you can also pop to the mud room, hydrotherapy pool and meditation room. Or the sauna and steam room after a session in the gym.

The pools are worth experiencing too. They sweep from the inside of the building out to the gorgeous Watsu pool with its own waterfall.

In the evening, treat yourself at Marco Pierre White’s on site restaurant and lounge, then head up to your stylish room, all with Smart TVs.

Living it up in Chester

For those looking to discover the city, you can easily pop across and see everything from the hotel. Our top picks would have to include the city’s 11th-century cathedral, but you can also see the Roman walls, go for a day out at Chester Racecourse, or go across to the country’s most visited wildlife attraction, Chester Zoo, to check out all the thousands of different animals in custom made environments.

There are plenty of gorgeous restaurants and bars to round off your trip nicely too. For some inspiration, try Michael Caine’s restaurant at Abode, the very trendy Alexander's Jazz Bar Restaurant, Upstairs at the Grill if you fancy a gorgeously cooked steak with all the trimmings, or the fashionable Amber Lounge.
