Holidays to United Arab Emirates

Now one of the most exclusive holiday destinations on the planet, the United Arab Emirates is probably best known for Dubai, an astounding global city with an extraordinary array of luxury hotels, top-notch restaurants and world-class shops.

Dubai

Dubai, one of the most popular destinations for holidays in United Arab Emirates, is famed for its outstanding Wild Wadi Water Park, which has three fantastic swimming pools and is the perfect place to cool off from the hot sun. The Burj Khalifa, meanwhile, is an astonishing 830m skyscraper that became the world's tallest building when it opened in 2010, and offers phenomenal views from its observation deck. If you're keen to partake in some souvenir shopping on your holiday, head to the Dubai Mall, which has 1,200 shops, or see the Dubai Museum for some insight into the area's archaeological history.

Abu Dhabi

Witness the extraordinary Sheikh Zayed Mosque, which was completed in 2007 and is 420m long, or visit the Ferrari World amusement attraction, which contains the fastest roller coaster on earth. Abu Dhabi is also renowned for its man-made Yas Island, which is the location of the Yas Marina Circuit, a major Grand Prix venue that cost £800m to build and opened in 2009.

Sharjah

If you're a fan of classical cars, you might want to visit the Sharjah Classic Car Museum, or learn about local wildlife by visiting the beloved Arabian Wildlife Center. This busy resort also has an impressive aquarium, and is noted for its photogenic Al Majaz Waterfront, featuring the enormous Sharjah Fountain. In addition, Sharjah is the home of the Museum of Islamic Civilization, where you can see many intriguing Islamic artworks and other historic artefacts related to Islam.

Restaurants

With thousands of superb restaurants to choose from, you'll have no trouble finding a cuisine that's to your taste. For some top-notch Italian cuisine, you could consider dining at the Sacci restaurant in Abu Dhabi, or try the El Manza Restaurant for some vibrant Moroccan favours. Some of the most highly rated restaurants in Dubai include Indian-inspired Armani/Amal, the Asian-fusion-styled Zengo restaurant, and the Creekside Japanese Restaurant.

Accommodation

One of the most sought-after luxury establishments in the United Arab Emirates is the opulent Al Maha, A Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa in Murqquab. Other deluxe hotels include the stupendous Dar Al Masyaf at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai and the wonderful Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara in Hamim. This country is also internationally acclaimed for its Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai, which has even been nicknamed a '7-star hotel'. However, if you're seeking more affordable accommodation, you could choose the Holiday Inn Express Dubai - Safa Park or the Al Diar Mina Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
