Holidays to El Arenal

El Arenal is located near the capital of Majorca, Palma. Also known as just Arenal, this small town is perfect for a quiet getaway but also great for nightlife as you are not too far away from the bustling capital. El Arenal’s highlight is said to be the beach, however many locals would argue that the town’s waterpark and sports facilities are the major attraction. The truth is, there are too many activities to participate whilst on holiday in El Arenal for there to only be one favourite. What to do on holiday in El Arenal

El Arenal beach stretches across 5km of coast and is clean and idyllic, a perfect place to relax and unwind. The waters tend to be calm and are certainly warm and clear, making the water very inviting. There is a children’s play area on the beach along with beach huts where you can shower and freshen up. The beach also provides several café’s where you can grab some food, whether you feel like a Spanish snack or just some good old fish ‘n’ chips.

The promenade runs along the beach and is a quick route to the neighbouring resort of C’an Pastilla where you can get great views of the sea and visit some funky souvenir shops. If you do not feel like walking, you can hop on a mini train that runs along the promenade to travel across town comfortably.

Locals say the best place for dining in El Arenal is at one of their famous seafront restaurants. Here you can have a traditionally Spanish dining experience or you can grab some fast food before heading across the road to one of the many bars and nightclubs for a night of dancing.

Many people hire a car or a scooter so they can explore more of the island. This way, you can see all of the stunning sights that the island has to offer such as the beautiful buildings and other beaches that give you the chance to participate in some water sport activities.

There are golf courses spread around the resort. The Jurassic park mini golf course provides fun for everyone, no matter what level your golfing skills are at! El Arenal is also home to the largest waterpark in Majorca and contains over 20 water attractions, such as the ‘Grand Canyon’ and the ‘Tsunami’. El Arenal’s waterpark is great for kids and adults alike.

Visiting the nearby capital of Majorca, Palma, takes under an hour by car. Here you can visit the gothic cathedral; cool souvenir shops and visit the Aquarium to see unusual tropical sea animals. There are lots of other resorts to enjoy in Majorca.
