Cape Town has a fascinating history to explore and one of the best places to visit is Robben Island. Today the prison is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and can be explored in special 4-hour tours, which include the ferry ride to the island and back. The tours start at the Nelson Mandela Gateway, which is a museum that has some fascinating exhibits about Mandela and the prison.
