The sweetest holiday spots in New Forest

Famous for being the new hunting forest of William the Conqueror, New Forest in Hampshire is, today, a much-loved tourist destination. More than 1000 old trees are found in the New Forest National Park, more than any other area of Western Europe. New Forest is a natural area where you can walk, hike, see the Exbury Gardens and Steam railway and Hurst Castle, as well as The Needles rock formation. There are so many fun things to do in Hampshire and the surrounding areas and there is plenty to keep children occupied and out of mischief too.

Other attractions to visit in New Forest are Wilverley Plain, Lymington Sea Water Baths, the Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary and Rhinefield Ornamental Drive, where you can see parks with ornamental trees, ponies and the leaves in autumn. Some people compare the forest to a Fairyland and it's a great place to take the whole family for a long walk and a picnic. The forest is an arboretum where you can find trees from all over the world, some of which are extremely old and important!
