Dublin has some excellent history for you to explore, and a great place to start is Dublin Castle, which was originally the seat of British rule in Ireland. The castle has a fascinating museum, as well as a refreshing café and unique gift shop. Another historic building in Dublin you won’t want to miss is Christ Church Cathedral. Dating back to the 11th century, the castle is home to the largest crypt in the whole of Great Britain and Ireland.

You can visit the causeway for free, but it’s well worth paying to enter the visitors centre, which houses an exhibition on the geology of the region.

If you’re a fan of the incredibly popular HBO series, then Ireland is the perfect place for you to visit as it’s where much of the series was filmed. The best way to see all of the filming locations is with a specially designed tour. Run on buses, the tours will guide you around all the top locations like the Cushendun Caves and Ballycastle.
